Black Moon rises 2017: What is a Black Moon? Rare lunar event explained

A BLACK Moon will rise above Earth next week, causing a solar eclipse across the US. But what is a Black Moon?

A so-called Black Moon will plunge the United States into darkness on Monday, August 21, when a total solar eclipse completely blocks out the light from the sun.

The eclipse will be visible from coast-to-coast in the US – the first of its kind in 99 years.

The breathtaking event will last two minutes and 40 seconds for those watching from the path of totality, getting gradually shorter the further away from the centre you stand.

“It brings people to tears,” Rick Fienberg, of the American Astronomical Society, told Space.com. “It makes people’s jaw drop.”

What is a Black Moon?

There is no accepted definition of a Black Moon, but the term has come to describe a number of astronomical phenomenons associated with the New Moon.

This is the part of the lunar cycle where none of the Moon’s surface is visible from Earth.

Black Moon is not a term used by the astronomical community, but it has become popular on social media and is used regularly by astrologists and followers of the some Pagan religions.

A Black Moon will rise over the US on August 21

Types of Black Moon

Third New Moon in a season of four

Next week’s total eclipse in the US falls into this category of Black Moon.

It occurs when there are four New Moons in a season, rather than the usual three. These moons rise once every 33 months.

The last one rose on February 18, 2015 and the next will be on May 22, 2020.

Second New Moon in a Calendar Month

The most common use of the term is when there are two New Moons in a single calendar month.

Occurring once every 29 months or so, this type of Black Moon is the exact opposite of a Blue Moon, which is where there are two Full Moons in a month.

The next one will rise on August 30, 2019.

A total solar eclipse will be visible from the US for the first time in 99 years

A month without New Moon

This is the rarest type of Black Moon, occurring when February does not experience a New Moon at all.

The phenomenon happens once every 20 years and leads to both January and March having two New Moons.

The last Black Moon to fall in this category rose in 2014, so the next will not be for another 16 years in Europe.

However, due to time zone differences the moons may happen at different times across the globe.

Western regions in the US will experience a Black Moon of this type in 2020, while Europe and Australia have to wait until 2033.

Black Moon is also used to describe the opposite situation, in which a February does not have a full moon.

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION**Advantages and disadvantages of Onions*

*Advantages and disadvantages of Onions*
In 1919, flu killed 40 million people.
A doctor visited the many farmers who had the attack to see if he could help them combat the flu.
Many of the farmers & their family had contracted the flu and many died.
However, the doctor came upon one farmer whose family was healthy and nobody in the house contracted the flu.
The doctor asked the farmer what he was doing that was different from the others.
The farmer’s wife replied that she put an unpeeled onion in a dish and placed them in all the rooms in their house.
The doctor thought that could have been the cure so he asked for one of those onions.
As he placed it under the microscope, he found the flu virus in the onion. The onions obviously absorbed all the bacteria and thereby kept the family healthy.
Now, I sent this story to a friend in Oregon who regularly contributes material to me on health issues. She replied with this most interesting experience about onions:
She said ‘ Thanks for the reminder. I don’t know about the farmer’s story but, I do know that I myself got pneumonia and became very ill. From my previous knowledge about onions, I  cut both ends off an onion put it into an empty jar, and place the jar next to myself over night.
By the morning, I began to feel better while the onion became black.’
Lots of times when we have stomach problems we don’t know what to blame. Maybe the onions that we ate earlier are to blame.
*Onions ABSORB BACTERIA* and that is the reason why they are so good at preventing us from getting *colds & flu*
And for that very reason we should NOT eat an onion that has been sitting for a time after it has *been cut open.*
*Left over onions are poisonous*
When food poisoning is reported, the first thing the officials look for is whether the ‘victim’  ate *ONIONS* and where those onions came from. Most probably the *ONIONS,* are the cause.
*Onions are huge magnets* for bacteria, especially uncooked ones.
*Never ever keep a portion of sliced onion over a period of time and thereafter use it to prepare food. It’s not even safe if you put it in a zip-lock bag and placed it in your refrigerator. It is still poisonous*
Also, do not give onions to dogs. Their stomachs cannot metabolize onions.
*Please remember it is dangerous to cut an onion and try to save it to cook with the next day, it becomes highly poisonous for even a single night – as it creates toxic bacteria which causes adverse stomach infections because of excess bile secretions and even food poisoning.*
Let as many as possible people know this.

Most girls don’t understand this because of much heavy grammar used to teach it, and we don’t listen to our body too. I read, I started listening to my body for signs and I arrived at the simple analysis/steps……..
👉MENSTRUAL PERIOD:The time blood flows out of your private area, when you use pad.

👉MENSTRUAL CYCLE: Days it takes to see another blood in the month. If you last saw your period in June 11th and it started again on July 10th 2017, then you have 30days cycle (count from 11 June to 10 July).

NOTE: It is erroneous to believe its 28days cycle, different women have different cycles ranging from 21-35 days.
👉OVULATION PERIOD: This is time to get pregnant without stress. This is 2 weeks after your period or 2 weeks before the next period.

Here’s a simple way to calculate your ovulation (unsafe) period.
1. From the first day you see the blood of your period.

2. Pick up a calendar and count 15 days including the first day of the blood stain.

3. Mark the 15th day with a pen.

4. Mark 3 days before the 15th day, and mark 3 days after the 15th day.

6. You will notice you have 7 days marked.

These 7 days are your ovulation/fertile days also known as unsafe period.

That is if you have sex on any of these days, then you have 98% chances of being pregnant.

7. Do this every month diligently

For example:
1. If your period is 11th July, 2017,

2. 15 days after the first day of the blood stain will be on 25th of this July too (2weeks after) counting from 11th.

3. 15th day is on the 25th July 2017.

4. 3days before the 15th day is 22, 23, 24.

5. 3days after 25th July 2017 is 26,27,28.

6. 22-28th July (7days) is when you are ovulating. It is your fertile period.

**Don’t forget that the 7 days is a reminder that sperm stays in the female body for about 7 days. Any sexual contact in between ovulation period will form something that has ears, eyes, etc.

If you want a baby girl, have

sex between 3 days before ovulation (22- 24th) 2017.
For a baby boy on the main ovulation day and 3 days after 25th.

You don’t need a doctor, just relax. After 2 weeks you may feel the following:

1. Headache.

2. High body temperature.

3. Dizziness (feeling of tiredness and sleepiness).

4. Breast tenderness/ size increases just like when you are menstruating.

5. Increased sex drive.

6. Light cramps or pain on one side of the pelvis.

7. Abdominal bloating.

8. Heightened sense of smell, taste or vision (you eat more).

9. Vagina mucus becomes slippery (if you notice, put it in between fingers…it stretches like thick catarrh or snail mucus…colorless like egg white.

N/B: The instance here is for ladies with 30 days cycle. And someone who saw her period in July 2017. If yours is 28, then it’s 14 days and not 15 days.

If you have headache without a cause, check back to when your period started. You can drink both malt and peak milk….don’t run to the pharmacist always on issues that can be naturally handled, because drugs are not always good on girls. Or you can take only paracetamol.

👉MEN, read and educate your wives and sisters, most don’t know this.

A female final year student of UNICAL, (name withheld) who just finished her degree exams has recently opened up to confess of how she has been involved in killings going on in the University, especially in her hostel.
She said that she has been involved in this act since her Pre-degree days and has actually lost count of how many people’s blood she has on her hands.
She was initiated into this act when she moved into a Female Hostel where she has lived until the time of confession.
In her confessions she was unable to mention names but said that even the blood of her room mate is on her hands.
In concluding her confession, she said, “Why would I not have the blood of people in my hands when I didn’t have insecticide treated mosquito net or money to buy  Baygon, Raid or other insecticides.
Every night, some mosquitoes after sucking  the blood of other students will fly into my room and what did you expect me to do?…”
How are you joor..?

Enjoy your week…
